Ausgrid is preparing to construct a new landmark building at 33 Bligh Street Sydney that will house a major electrical substation integrated with a commercial tower.
The new substation is part of Ausgrid’s CityGrid project to provide electricity to Sydney’s CBD. Metropolitan Demolitions has won the contract to demolish the two existing commercial towers on the site. We are currently in the process of planning our demolition methods by firstly completing all primary works such as diversions and termination of major services, dilapidation surveys, and a preliminary demolition plan. These works will be used as reference documents to ensure that the demolition of the buildings does not affect neighbouring properties, traffic, or public health and safety.
